Biography

Yajing Qiu, PhD, Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Qiu has long been engaged in clinical treatment related to hemangiomas. As the group leader of the Infantile Hemangioma Professional Group of the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformation Specialty in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Qiu is responsible for the infantile hemangioma specialty clinic, which has an annual outpatient volume of more than 10,000 patient visits, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of related complex cases. Dr. Qiu has published 20 SCI articles as first author or (co-)corresponding author, and participated in the compilation of 2 editions of the Chinese Medical Association Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hemangiomas and Vascular Malformations (2016 and 2019 editions). The project “Basic and Clinical Research on Complex Hemangiomas and Vascular Malformations” won the First Prize of the 2022 Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award; the project “Establishment and Application of New Technologies for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Complex Hemangiomas and Vascular Malformations” won the First Prize of the 2022 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award; and the project “Basic Research and Progress in Diagnosis and Treatment of Infantile Hemangiomas” won the Third Prize of the 2018 (17th) Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award.
